Join family medicine residency faculty and staff from across Indiana for a day of practical ideas, shared learning and collaboration at the 2026 IFMRLN Faculty Development Summit! This year's Summit combines focused educational sessions with plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from your peers.

Highlights include:

  • Introduction to PRIME POCUS with Ryan Paulus, DO

  • How to Utilize AI to Become the Feedback Coach of Your Dreams with Cindy Meneghini, MD — including practical ways to use AI to summarize feedback, prepare for faculty coaching conversations and develop performance improvement plans

  • Integration of Procedural Workshops into Didactics with Mark DeNardin, DO — exploring one residency's approach to helping residents meet procedural competency requirements

  • Street Medicine in Family Medicine Residency Education with Katharine Callaghan, MD, MPA — examining Street Medicine South Bend and its impact on resident education

  • "Take Five" (Minutes) for Equity: Implementing Bias Checks During Inpatient Rounds with Gregory Pouliot, PhD — featuring a practical approach to incorporating implicit bias checks into inpatient rounds

And the Summit is about more than presentations. During our Institutional Challenges Potpourri networking lunch, participants will gather around tables devoted to different residency challenges, exchange experiences and solutions, and then share key takeaways with the entire group.

The IFMRLN was created to strengthen Indiana's Family Medicine residency programs through collaboration, shared learning, innovation and advocacy. The Faculty Development Summit is a great opportunity to put that mission into action — and to spend the day connecting with colleagues who understand the challenges and opportunities of residency education.

We hope you and your residency colleagues will join us in Carmel on September 15!
Registration deadline: Tuesday, September 8.
